I think you should get one! I feel like if you got one from someone reliable then there shouldn’t be too much of a problem. I’m just basing this off of what I’ve heard but maybe some of the health problems with dogs come from things like inbreeding (but obviously not all of them). My coworker was telling me the other day about the pug she once had and I was surprised at how low-maintenance he was.

I think that as long as you are aware of potential problems and are willing to deal with them if it happens then you should get one! Giving a pug a loving home and a family is an amazing thing to do :)
